Our Aims & Objectives

At Once a Man, Twice a Child Project CIC, we envision a community that is informed, supportive, and empathetic toward individuals and families dealing with dementia. We believe that by opening up dialogues, sharing experiences, and working together, we can create a more caring and compassionate environment for those affected by dementia. Our ultimate vision is to make a difference in the lives of individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.

We invite you to join us on this journey of understanding and impact. Whether you're seeking information, inspiration, or ways to contribute to our cause, we welcome your involvement. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of those affected by dementia and work toward a more inclusive and empathetic community.

Thank you for your support and for being a part of the "Once a Man, Twice a Child Project CIC." Together, we can create a community that stands together in the face of dementia, proving that understanding and compassion can make all the difference.

Raising Awareness: We are committed to raising awareness about dementia. We firmly believe that understanding the physical and emotional toll it takes on patients and their loved ones is crucial. To achieve this, we are embarking on a unique project to bring dementia awareness to young people through a music project. We aim to inspire young minds to create songs about dementia and its effects on families and the community. We believe that through the power of music, we can convey the emotional impact of dementia in a way that resonates with the younger generation.

Creating a Podcast Series: Our podcast series is one of our primary tools for achieving our mission. Through this platform, we share authentic experiences from caregivers who have navigated the complex terrain of dementia. These caregivers provide firsthand accounts of their journeys, offering relatable stories and valuable advice to those facing similar challenges. Our hope is that these stories will inspire, comfort, and educate our listeners.

Tackling Stigma: We recognize that one of the greatest challenges in addressing dementia is the stigma that surrounds it. Dementia can often be misunderstood or misjudged, leading to discrimination or a lack of empathy. We are dedicated to challenging this stigma by sharing stories and providing valuable insights into the experiences of those affected by dementia. Through these efforts, we aim to change perceptions and create a more compassionate and informed community.

Preventing Abuse and Mistreatment: We are acutely aware of the vulnerability of dementia sufferers to ill-treatment and theft by some carers and caregivers in the community. To address this issue, we are launching an outreach service that goes into family homes. We will temporarily install covert camera systems to expose abuse or mistreatment, ensuring the safety and well-being of those living with dementia. We aim to be a voice for those who feel that a dementia sufferer is being mistreated and provide concrete evidence to rectify such situations.

Our Vision: we envision a community that is informed, supportive, and empathetic toward individuals and families dealing with dementia. We believe that by opening up dialogues, sharing experiences, and working together, we can create a more caring and compassionate environment for those affected by dementia. Our ultimate vision is to make a difference in the lives of individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.
